- Research communication channels and processes across the company, making recommendations for change and implementing improvements to ensure employees received information in a timely and appropriate manner
- Create a training plan for employees, including other members of the leadership team, drafting a proposed budget for 2023 that would benefit existing and new employees and attract more talent to Andela
- Review the use of the CPTO’s time, analyzing how his time was spent, and creating a strategic plan for maximizing his time while meeting the many demands of the department and CEO
- Develop and execute a plan for increasing employee engagement, utilizing formal and informal methods to understand the pain points
- Established a monthly team virtual “lunch” and monthly brown bag sessions for the CPTO department, fostering relationships and providing both socialization and learning opportunities for team members around the globe
- Established a department-wide calendar and proposed schedule of events as well as anticipated budget for monthly in-person sessions for 2023
- Systematically assessed the software expenses for the product, engineering, data, and marketing, finding over $70K in savings in the first four weeks. Set up a process for future spend requests to be submitted for approval, then reviewed and approved or denied all requests
- Act as the main point of contact/gatekeeper for the CPTO, including independent prioritization, proactive schedule changes, and email management
- Act as a thought partner, confidante, cheerleader, and sanity keeper for the CPTO
